About Dream Decoder

What Dream Decoder is

Dream Decoder is a dream journal with an AI interpreter attached. You write down — or speak — what you dreamt, and it explains what the dream may mean, symbol by symbol, in the context of the whole dream rather than one keyword at a time.

It is available on iOS, Android and the web, in 14 languages.

What it does

  • AI dream interpretation — instant analysis of any dream, with each symbol explained in context, and follow-up questions when the first answer isn't enough.
  • Several traditions, side by side — psychological readings drawing on Jungian and Freudian perspectives, alongside spiritual, religious and symbolic interpretations. You choose the lens; the app doesn't insist on one.
  • A private dream journal — voice or text entry, automatic tagging of symbols, emotions and themes, and full-text search across everything you've recorded.
  • Patterns over time — which symbols recur for you, how your emotional trends move week to week, and weekly and monthly reports.
  • Nightmare relief — guided Imagery Rehearsal Therapy, the rescripting technique sleep therapists use for recurring nightmares.
  • Lucid dreaming tools — lucidity tracking per entry and detection of your personal dream signs.
  • A dream dictionary — hundreds of symbols, searchable at any time.
  • An optional community — share a dream to the public Dream Wall if you want to. Sharing is off by default.

How we treat your dreams

Dreams are about as personal as writing gets, and the app is built on that assumption. Every entry is private by default. Nothing is published unless you explicitly choose to share it, and you can make it private again at any time.

You can delete your account and everything in it whenever you like — in the app, on the web, or by email if you've lost access. See Delete Your Account & Data for what's removed and how long it takes, and our Privacy Policy for what we collect and why.

How our articles are written

The articles on our blog and the entries in the dream dictionary are written with AI. Each blog post starts from a theme in a real, anonymised dream that a user chose to share in the app; the text itself is generated by a language model and published under the Dream Decoder name. No individual dream is quoted, and nothing that could identify a dreamer is used.

Amedya is responsible for everything published here. If an article is wrong, harmful or should not exist, write to privacy@dreamdecoder.ai and we will correct or remove it.

Dream interpretations, in the app and in our articles, are offered for reflection. They are not medical, psychological or legal advice, and they do not predict the future.
